Department of Economics
Founded in 1984 alongside the inception of Panigaon Om Prakash Dinodia College, the Department of Economics has been a pillar of academic excellence for over four decades. Established under the visionary guidance of founding faculties Punanada Das and Biren Saikia, the department was one of the original arts-stream disciplines, aimed at equipping students from the socio-economically backward Telahi–Kamalabaria region with a solid grounding in economic theory, critical thinking, and real-world relevance.
