Brief Outline
The Department of History, established in 1986, is one of the oldest departments of the College. It provides quality education, nurturing practical skills for the future, and has alumni in various government and private sectors.
Objectives
- Introduce students to historical changes in human culture.
- Acquaint students with modern historical studies and thinking.
- Undertake research on the history of Assam and Northeast India.
